Proposed design:

Completed design: Angled boundaries and an easterly prospect presented a tight dark site. An octagonal form (originally circular but budgetary requirements prevailed!) maximized the site, turned the view to face into the garden rather than the fence, and retained the flow of light into the original house. Openings have been situated to catch the moving light as the sun arcs around it’s course.
