The development of apartments over shops (completing the monument dominated crossroad centre of Ballybrack) was welcomed by the Local Authority. The design evolved through numerous discussions with both the Planning and Architects Departments. The final design reinforces the notion of the traditional village, whilst sitting comfortably with the modern design of the apartments and shops across the Wyattville Road. It also allowed apartment dwellers to benefit from views from balconies and bay windows, shops to run down a steeply inclined hill around a corner, and safe vehicular access to the development. The privacy of neighbouring houses has been protected.
